  Preposition - IN

Introduction:

1.    ‘In’ is used to specify the space - at a point within an area or a space

·              He is in Delhi.

·              She was lying in bed.

·              Pens are in the drawer.

·              He put the bag in the car.

2.       ‘In’ is used during a period of time or to specify time.

·         He was born in 2005.

·         Here it is very hot in summer.

·         I take this medicine only in the morning.

·         He is in time to the class.

3.    ​ ‘In’ is used to show somebody’s job or profession or condition.

·         He is in business.

·         They are in problems.

·         The famous actress joined in politics.

·         He was in love.

4.    Direction and physical things in nature:

·         He swims in the sea.

·         No star is in the sky.

·         Fields are in the north of the river..

·         The Sun sets in the west.

5.    Language and dress:

·         She can speak in English but cannot write.

·         The letter was written in Hindi.

·         She goes to hospital in uniform.

·         He was in blue suit.

1.	‘In’ is used to specify the place.
	Where do you sleep? तुम कहाँ सोते हो? మీరు ఎక్కడ పడుకుంటారు.	I sleep in this room. मैं इस कमरे में सोता हूं। నేను ఈ గదిలో పడుకుంటాను.
	Where will you teach them? आप उन्हें कहां पढ़ाएंगे? మీరు వారికి ఎక్కడ బోధిస్తారు?	I will teach them in the study room. मैं उन्हें अध्ययन कक्ष में पढ़ाऊंगा। నేను వారికి స్టడీ రూమ్‌లో నేర్పుతాను
	Where did you work last year? आपने पिछले साल कहां काम किया था? గత సంవత్సరం మీరు ఎక్కడ పనిచేశారు?	I worked in Rajasthan. मैंने राजस्थान में काम किया। నేను రాజస్థాన్‌లో పనిచేశాను.
	Where are you working now ? आप अभी कहां काम कर रहे हैं ? మీరు ఇప్పుడు ఎక్కడ పని చేస్తున్నారు?	I am working in Bangalore. मैं बैंगलोर में काम कर रहा हूँ। నేను బెంగళూరులో పని చేస్తున్నాను
	What was Sheela doing when you came. जब तुम आई थी तो शीला क्या कर रही थी। మీరు వచ్చినప్పుడు షీలా ఏమి చేస్తువున్నింది?	She was working in the kitchen. वह रसोई में काम कर रही थी।
2.	‘In’ is used to specify time
	When do you pray? आप कब प्रार्थना करते हैं? మీరు ఎప్పుడు ప్రార్థిస్తారు?	I pray early in the morning. मैं सुबह जल्दी प्रार्थना करता हूं। నేను ఉదయాన్నే ప్రార్థిస్తాను.
	When will Priyanka go to the US ? प्रियंका US कब  जाएंगी? ప్రియాంక US కు ఎప్పుడు వెళ్తుంది?	She will go in June. वह जून में जाएगी। ఆమె జూన్‌లో వెళ్తుంది.
	When are you coming? आप कब तक आ रहे हो? నువ్వు ఎప్పుడు వస్తున్నావు?	I am coming in the evening. मैं शाम को आ रहा हूं। నేను సాయంత్రం వస్తున్నాను.
	In which year did you join in this office? आप किस वर्ष इस ऑफिस में शामिल हुए? మీరు ఏ సంవత్సరంలో ఈ ఆఫీస్ లో చేరారు?	I joined in 2015. मैं 2015 में शामिल हुआ।  నేను 2015 లో చేరాను.
	What was he doing in the morning? वह सुबह क्या कर रहा था? అతను ఉదయం ఏమి చేస్తూ వుండినాడు  ?	In the morning he was doing office work. सुबह वह ऑफिस का काम कर रहा था।  ఉదయం ఆఫీసు పని చేస్తూ వుండినాడు.
3.	‘In time, in  order, in English, in summer, in army etc.
	When does he come? वह कब आता है? అతను ఎప్పుడు వస్తాడు?	He comes in time. वह समय पर आता है।  అతను సమయానికి వస్తాడు.
	What will you do now ? अब आप क्या करेंगे ఇప్పుడు మీరు ఏంచేస్తారు?	I will keep all the things in order.  मैं सभी चीजों को क्रम में रखूंगा। నేను అన్ని వస్తువులను క్రమంగా ఉంచుతాను
	What is she writing? वह क्या लिख ​​रही है? ఆమె ఏమి రాస్తోంది?	She is writing the letter in English. वह पत्र अंग्रेजी में लिख रही है ఆమె ఇంగ్లిష్ లో లెటర్ వ్రాస్తావుంది.
	When did he come to India? वह भारत कब आए? అతను ఇండియాకు ఎప్పుడు వచ్చాడు ?	He came in summer.  वह गर्मियों में आया था। అతను వేసవిలో వచ్చాడు.
	What was he doing in Kashmir? वह कश्मीर में क्या कर रहा था? కాశ్మీర్‌లో ఆయన ఏమి చేస్తుండెను ?	He was working in army. वह सेना में कार्यरत था। ఆర్మీలో పని చేస్తుండెను .
4.	In the east, in the west, in the sky, in the river etc.
	Where does the sun rise? सूरज कहाँ उगता है? సూర్యుడు ఎక్కడ ఉదయిస్తాడు?	The sun rises in the east. सूरज पूरब में उगता है। సూర్యుడు తూర్పున ఉదయిస్తాడు
	Where will you build your pooja room? आप अपना पूजा कक्ष कहां बनाएंगे? మీ పూజా గదిని ఎక్కడ నిర్మిస్తారు?	I will build in the west. मैं पश्चिम में निर्माण करूंगा। నేను పశ్చిమాన నిర్మిస్తాను
	Where are the birds flying? पक्षी कहाँ उड़ रहे हैं? పక్షులు ఎక్కడ ఎగురుతున్నాయి?	The birds are flying in the sky. पक्षी आकाश में उड़ रहे हैं। పక్షులు ఆకాశంలో ఎగురుతున్నాయి
	Where did they swim ? उन्हें तैरना कहाँ आता था?  వారు ఎక్కడ ఈత కొట్టారు?	They swam in the river. వారు నదిలో ఈత కొట్టారు. वे नदी में तैर गए।
	Where were they fishing? वे कहाँ मछली पकड़ रहे थे?  వాళ్ళు చేపలు ఎక్కడ పెట్టేవాళ్ళు ?	They were fishing in the sea. वे समुद्र में मछली पकड़ रहे थे। వారు సముద్రంలో చేపలు పట్టేవాళ్ళు.
5.	In business, in politics, in phone, in uniform, in problems.
	What does Gautham do ? गौतम क्या करता है? గౌతమ్ ఏమి చేస్తాడు?	He is in business. वह व्यापार में है। అతను వ్యాపారంలో ఉన్నాడు.
	What will that actress do now? अब वह अभिनेत्री क्या करेगी? ఆ నటి ఇప్పుడు ఏమి చేస్తుంది?	She will join in politics. वह राजनीति में शामिल होंगी। ఆమె రాజకీయాల్లో చేరుతుంది.
	What are you doing? तुम क्या कर रहे हो? మీరు ఏమి చేస్తున్నారు?	I am saving his number in your phone. मैं उसका नंबर आपके फोन में सेव कर रहा हूं। నేను మీ ఫోన్‌లో అతని నంబర్‌న సేవ్ చేస్తున్నాను.
	What did teacher say? टीचर  ने क्या कहा? టీచర్ ఏమి చెప్పాడు?	She told the children to come in uniform. उसने बच्चों को वर्दी में आने के लिए कहा। పిల్లలను యూనిఫాంతో రమ్మని చెప్పాడు.
	What was Anil doing in Kerala? अनिल केरल में क्या कर रहा था? కేరళలో అనిల్ ఏమి చేస్తున్నాడు?	He was helping a friend who was in problems. वह दोस्तव की मदद कर रहा था जो समस्याओं में था।  సమస్యల్లో ఉన్న స్నేహితుడికి సహాయం చేస్తున్నాడు.
